Delete your GrailGuard Courier account
This page explains how a courier who signs in to the GrailGuard Courier app (iPhone and Android) or the courier web dashboard at grailguard.io can ask GrailGuard LLC to delete their courier account and the personal data linked to it. Customers who book deliveries can delete their own account from their account page; see Section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
How to request deletion
- Email privacy@grailguard.io from the email address you use to sign in to your courier account, with the subject line “Courier Account Deletion Request”.
- Include your full name, and say whether you want your whole courier account deleted or only your location history (see the last section below).
- If you can no longer use that email address, say so in your message. We must confirm your identity another way before we act, so we may ask you for details only the account holder would know.
There is no charge for this request. Deleting your account does not cancel per-trip fees you have already earned.
How quickly we respond
- We acknowledge your request within 10 business days (we typically respond within 1 business day).
- We complete the deletion within 30 days. A complex request can take up to 90 days in total; if yours needs more than 30 days, we will tell you.
- When we are done, we confirm in writing which categories of data were deleted and which were kept, and why.
If a delivery is in progress on your account when you ask, we finish handling that delivery first.
What we delete
- Your courier account and sign-in. You will no longer be able to sign in to the GrailGuard Courier app or the courier dashboard.
- The profile and contact details held in your courier account, such as your phone number and notification settings, except where the same details also appear in the records we must keep (listed below).
- Your live-tracking location history (the GPS points your app sends during deliveries). These are already deleted automatically ninety (90) days after they are recorded; on request we delete them sooner, unless they are tied to an open claim, dispute, investigation or legal hold.
What we keep, and for how long
Some records have to be kept after a deletion request, because the law requires it or because they are needed to handle claims and disputes about deliveries you carried:
- Delivery records for jobs you carried — the chain-of-custody timeline, the time and location stamps saved when you tapped job steps (such as “At pickup”), pickup and delivery photos with their time and location stamps, signatures, and your name and email as the courier on each job. Kept for at least seven (7) years from delivery, the same period as the booking record, so coverage claims and chargebacks can be answered.
- Payment and tax records — records of the per-trip fees paid to you and related tax records. Kept for at least seven (7) years for tax and accounting purposes. Any payment provider used to pay you keeps its own records under its own policies.
- Records of your location-monitoring consent — when you acknowledged the Location Monitoring Policy, which version, and when you opted out or asked for deletion. These contain no location coordinates and are kept for up to seven (7) years.
- Anything tied to an open claim, dispute, investigation or legal hold — kept until the matter is resolved.
Deleting only your location history
You can ask us to delete your live-tracking location history and stop collecting it while keeping your account. Because live location sharing during active deliveries is a requirement of the courier engagement, you will not be assigned active deliveries after opting out until you acknowledge the Location Monitoring Policy again.
